The Healing Journey: Supporting Women Victims of Violence

Lisa Markovits Season 7 Episode 11

Our guest Lisa Markovits discusses the career journey that led her to create initiatives focused on supporting women who are victims of violence. She also talks about her innovative approach to healing and empowerment, including the use of creativity and self-expression, and offers advice to aspiring entrepreneurs and individuals on their journey to self-realization.

Lisa is  the founder of the international foundation PaArriba, Ecuador’s first nationwide, online directory of support resources for women victims of violence. She is now aiming to expand her efforts to Latin America and the Spanish-speaking population in the US.

Through her new venture, Own It Baby!, and her upcoming course, "From Caterpillar to Butterfly: Shepherding Women from Trauma to Joy," Lisa continues to innovate in the realm of healing and empowerment. By incorporating art and self-expression into her work, she believes in the transformative power of creativity, particularly for GenX women navigating trauma.
